We offer several ways to maximize the exposure of your business on WeHeartZihua. Our most inexpensive option is to purchase a sponsored listing rank in our Area Directory for the primary category of your business. Sponsored listings are placed at the top of the category page and will be clearly identified as a purchased placement. The order of sponsored listings is determined on a first come, first served basis.

Sponsored listings in our area directory are 100 pesos per month. A discount of one free month's listing is applied to all yearly sponsorships paid in advance. Sponsored listings are not guaranteed until availability has been confirmed and placement has been received. Please note that if we have chosen not to list you in our general directory, we will not accept your sponsored listing. Please contact us privately to discuss our reasons for choosing not to include your business in the directory.

Banner Ads

You may also purchase banner ads to be featured throughout the website, in our Area Directory, From the Editors Blog, and Living la Vida travel articles section. Cost of the banner ads are based on size and location. Banner ads must conform to our size and quality guidelines. If you do not have a premade banner to use, one can be made for you for a nominal fee by our in-house designer or you can get a banner designed for free with the purchase of a year's placement.

Pricing & Guidelines for Banner Ads

Horizontal banners should be 468 pixels by 60 pixels. Smaller banners that will be placed in the right hand sidebar can be up to 200 pixels by 120 pixels. Banners can be either .jpg or .gif file formats and can be animated. Maximum file size is 25K.

Monthly rates for banner ads range from 100 to 500 pesos per month based on placement in the site (rates correlate to a particular page's average traffic), the size of your ad, and its location on the page. Please use the request form at the bottom of this page to contact us regarding banner space availability and current rates.

Don't have a website?

We offer two options for people looking to purchase advertising space on WeHeartZihua who don't have a website to link to. Either you can have a banner ad that does not "click through" but includes sufficient information (phone number, location, hours, etc) in the ad to interest prospective customers OR we can help you create a website and host it here! Your website can range from a simple one page design hosted directly on this site (ie. www.weheartzihua.com/sites/mywebsite.html) or a separate multi-page site with its own unique domain name (ie. www.mywebsite.com).

Why do we offer advertising in the first place?

We do not charge - nor will we ever charge - for listings in our Area Directory. While we applaud the generosity of other local websites that are run without charging any fees for listings, we simply cannot afford to invest the amount of time we spend working on WeHeartZihua without defraying the costs through advertising. Advertising via sponsored listings or banner ads is completely optional and any paid advertisement will always be indicated clearly on our website.
